Terms & Conditions
All parties to a mediation, and all those who participate on the day, must personally sign a mediation agreement covering its terms and importantly to ensure the confidentiality of the mediation process.
I am a member of a number of mediation panels and if appointed as mediator by one of those panels, then that panel’s own mediation agreement will apply. If appointed directly my own mediation agreement will cover the appointment, as indicated in the draft provided.

Limitation of Liability
Nothing in these terms and conditions excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury arising from our negligence or our fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or any other liability that cannot be excluded or limited by English law.

We will NOT collect via this website any personal data or data related to a specific mediation.
Any data required for a mediation will be exchanged between us directly via an agreed, secure transmission route once you have established contact via the direct methods listed in “Contacts”. Such data will then be held securely, for a limited period as defined in the relevant Mediation Agreement, in a separate GDPR-compliant system by Complex Transaction Services Ltd, under which John Deane is a Data Controller registered with the UK Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO).
REGULATION AND COMPLAINTS
As a mediator who is registered with the Civil Mediation Council (CMC), I have agreed to adhere to the European Code of Conduct for Mediators.
I have professional indemnity insurance for mediation with Hiscox Insurance Company Limited under policy no. OXY9751011
I hope you will not have any cause to complain about my service or conduct, but if you do please raise it with me within 28 days by email to email@example.com or by post to Complex Transaction Services Ltd, St. Martin’s House, 16 St. Martin’s Le Grand, London EC1A 4EN. I undertake to deal with your complaint within fourteen days of receiving it. If your complaint relates to an appointment made via a mediation panel, please address any complaint in the first instance as indicated in the Mediation Agreement with the relevant panel that covers the mediation in question.
